The United Kingdom is also very well known for its many circuits and isolated roads, particularly the Black Mountain Road in Wales, which has frequently been used for both publications and audiovisual media due to its length, scenic values, ability to put a car through its paces and relative desertion from traffic and other disturbances. Permanent circuits such as Silverstone, Brands Hatch and the Top Gear Test Track, along with disused airfields such as Kemble and Bruntingthorpe have frequently been featured in automotive journalism.
