Performance Car Magazine
Performance Car, commonly abbreviated to PC, was the name of a British automotive magazine produced continuously by EMAP from July 1983 until July 1998, comprising issues 184 through to 364 of what originally begun as Hot Car Magazine in April 1968, prior to the latter merging once Performance Car was created. The magazine would later be re-established for the month of March 2008[1] to mild success, but was unable to attract greater interest and would again close at the end of 2009 after a further 22 issues had been printed.
The magazine is perhaps most notable for its hiring of then-freelance journalist Jeremy Clarkson in 1986, who eventually became a highly successful television presenter.
evo would be Performance Car's spiritual successor, and its first issue even included a Performance Car-themed supplement.
