The nineteenth series of Top Gear premiered in the United Kingdom on the 27th January, 2013, and concluded on the 10th March, 2013, after a run of 7 episodes. The series' main host was Jeremy Clarkson, and he was accompanied by Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig as co-presenters. The series was produced at Television Centre in Wood Lane, London, and aired on BBC Two in a 60-minute studio format. Series 19 attracted an average viewership rating of 6.58 million viewers per episode, with a peak of 7.48 million viewers for Africa Special Part 2, and a low of 5.39 million viewers for Episode 4.
Highlights from this series include the two-part special in Africa, the P45, a car built by Clarkson to be smaller than a Peel P50 and the Thorough Cee'd Test, which put the then-current Reasonably-Priced Car, the Kia Cee'd, on an ultimate stress test. Series 19 was filled with a lot of callbacks to previous series, such as the aforementioned P45, the Nevada to Calexico road trip in Episode 2 devised as a punishment for earlier comments made in the show regarding Mexican culture, and a race between the Shelby GT500 and a train to San Siro Stadium in Italy.
