The twenty-first series of Top Gear premiered in the United Kingdom on the 2nd February, 2014, and concluded on the 16th March, 2014, after a run of 7 episodes. The series' main host was Jeremy Clarkson, and he was accompanied by Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig as co-presenters. The series was produced at Television Centre in Wood Lane, London, and aired on BBC Two in a 60-minute studio format. Series 21 attracted an average viewership rating of 6.49 million viewers per episode, with a peak of 7.01 million viewers for Burma Special Part 2, and a low of 5.64 million viewers for Episode 5.
Highlights from this series include the two-part Burma Special, Ukraine Road Trip in three low-powered superminis en route to the infamous Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, and the trio's attempt at making a safety film for cyclists in a similar vein to one they had done for the Volkswagen Scirocco back in Series 13.
With no series airing in the second half of 2014, Series 21 would be followed by a three episode miniseries presented solely by James May which aired in August 2014, entitled James May's Cars of the People.
